Shamrock Animal Fund announces 2012 honorees for Shamrock's Celebration fundraiser

(Syracuse, NY)  The Shamrock Animal Fund proudly announces its 2012 honorees who will be celebrated at Shamrock’s Celebration 2012 fundraiser on Saturday, March 24^th at King+King Architects, 358 West Jefferson Street, Syracuse.    Dr. Nancy Freeborough of Syracuse and Dr. Marco Coronado of Cazenovia have been selected for their commitment to providing accessible and affordable veterinary care to animals and their owners.  Both veterinarians have been strong partners in the work of the Shamrock Animal Fund.

Dr. Nancy Freeborough has owned the Nottingham Pet Clinic in Syracuse since 1985.  She has provided low cost veterinary care and spay/neuters for numerous animal helping agencies over the years.  Originally from Michigan she provided essential veterinary expertise to last fall’s Healthy Pet Clinic in Syracuse organized by the Shamrock Animal Fund in conjunction with several other groups.

Dr. Marco Coronado runs his own veterinary practice that bears his name in Cazenovia, New York.  His hands-on business approach helps him provide lower cost veterinary care to pet owners with urgent concerns and limited resources.  He often answers his own telephone when the Shamrock Animal Fund calls with a client in need.

The Shamrock Animal Fund is a 501c3 not-for-profit.  Funds raised are paid directly to veterinarians that provide care to these animals.

Since its inception in 2010 The Shamrock Animal fund has worked with fifteen local veterinary hospitals helping pay for the care of numerous animals from nine central New York counties.

Shamrock’s Celebration 2012 is Saturday evening, March 24^th at 6:30 p.m at King & King Architects, 358 West Jefferson Street on the edge of Armory Square. Online reservations and payment are available at shamrockanimalfund.com.
