A not for profit fund in Central New York providing financial assistance for veterinary costs for animals in need.

Thank you to supporters of The Shamrock Animal Fund

It has been heartwarming to continue to receive donations to The Shamrock Animal Fund even several weeks after our Shamrock's Celebration 2010 on March 20th.  The donations are certainly welcome and emphasize an important point.

The fundraising efforts for The Shamrock Animal Fund are ongoing. Any time of year is the right time to send a donation to benefit the veterinary care of animals in need.  Some people make such donations in the name of a pet that is or was close to them. Others send donations to show support for the effort being put forth to benefit animals.

The Shamrock Animal Fund thanks all of our supporters whether the gifts are large or small.  The best way to donate is send a check payable to:  The Shamrock Animal Fund,   7815 Karakul Lane, Fayetteville, NY 13066.  read more »

Shamrock's Celebration Raises Thousands for Shamrock Animal Fund

Glasses clinked, animal lovers laughed and chatted and supporters of the Shamrock Animal Fund buzzed about the delicious heaping mashed potatoes served in martini glasses at the inaugural Shamrock's Celebration in Syracuse's Armory Square. A group of 115 people shared stories of their pets, caught up with friends and made new ones.  By the end of the night a little over $12,000 had been raised to benefit the care of animals in need.

The exposed brick and beams of PJ's Pub and Grill provided a wonderful environment for the casual affair that also featured carved turkey and corned beef sandwiches and an abundance of beer, wine and soda.  The silent auction included restaurant gift certificates, Huephoria wine glasses, pet related items, Syracuse University sports DVD's, Fleet Feet gift certificates, a Metro Matress gift certificate, works of art, backstage concert passes, a Shamrock decorative lamp and other generous donations from the Central New York Community. su_basketball.jpg  read more »

The students took time from their recess period to work the club table in the cafeteria.  The students were inspired by Shamrock's photo and his remarkable longevity to contribute to the fund in his name for the betterment of other animals.

The week long event worked to fill the cafeteria walls with shamrock's and Shamrock's photo. Each donor signed a picture and posted it. And, of course, they got the blow pop too.  read more »
