Animal owner must send documentation to Shamrock Animal Fund via e-mail, Fax or mail. (info@shamrockanimalfund.com)
Documentation can include: tax return, benefit letter or other documentation showing your income. We do not need to see your Social Security Number on the paperwork.
The Shamrock Animal Fund pays a determined supplement directly to the veterinarian based on the amount of the bill.
The Shamrock Animal Fund does not assist with bills retroactively.
STEPS TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The animal owner assumes the majority of the financial responsibility for the veterinary bill.
The animal owner has to demonstrate financial need and verify income with documentation. All information remains confidential.
The animal owner must apply or co-apply for Care Credit if it is accepted by the participating veterinarian. Must provide documentation if denied Care Credit. www.carecredit.com or 800-365-8295
The participating veterinarian has to offer the animal owner a discount toward the veterinary care.
It is up to the animal owner to have the conversation with the veterinary hospital about offering a discount or financial accommodation.
